My client is looking for people who are passionate about the provision of quality services to young people and the development of these and engagement with key providers.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract and is a full time role, Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00 but some flexibility for weekends and evenings is required.

My client is looking for you if you have:

- an Extensive Youth Work background or significant experience working with young people
-  Previous work with youth councils is preferred
- a Degree in a relevant discipline would be beneficial but not essential e.g. Youth Work, Social Work, Youth and Community studies
- Experience of advocacy for young people and provide a strategic vision to empower young people and their Voice
- a full driving licence, are a Car driver with business insurance

The role will involve:

- Ensuring the provision of high quality of services to young people within the borough
- Developing innovative ways to communicate with young people and communicating their wishes and feelings on services
- Present the results of co-production and participation activities to the relevant parties and monitor how the results inform strategic decision making, service development and new initiatives across the service.
- Produce reports as and when requested for relevant groups e.g. the Local Authority cabinet, directors, central Government
- Identify training needs and develop training to meet this within the Authority, with Partner Agencies etc to demonstrate best practice across the workforce
- To work collaboratively with the third sector and other partner agencies in the development of outcome focused services for children and families.
- Youth Council work / Youth Parliament experience is desired
