I am recruiting for a passionate website design/illustrator for an excellent company of mine based in Watford.

The business is currently undertaking a website and social media redesign so this is the perfect time to join them and gain valuable experience working with various departments assisting in this ongoing project.

Salary: 20-23K (negotiable)
Hours: Mon-Fri, 9-5.30

Job Description:

• creation and development of design concepts through to completion, working on a range of multimedia projects across all digital mediums
• design eye-catching graphics, banners and social media content and create UX design solutions across all of the company's digital media
• Researching and the sourcing of digital assets as and when projects demand.
• carry out tasks for development of public and B2B website as directed and subsequent projects
• Support customers with graphical collateral, designed within the company's brand guidelines.
• preparation of draft ideas, mock-ups and wireframes to key stakeholders using a wide range of media and graphic design software
• accurate adherence to work design briefs, researching any relevant information and data to help clarify design requirements and potential issues
• editing, optimising and production of stunning, highly creative and on brand graphics for the website.
• plan and gather correct information to keep the number of proofing stages to a minimum
• produce accurate and high quality work, ensuring mistakes relevant to content, layout and final presentation are kept to a minimum
• take responsibility for allocated tasks through to completion and to plan adequate timescales that are not too restrictive and meet specified deadlines
• proof check work to be published
• ensure other team members are kept informed on progress of work and aware of any information or issues as appropriate
• issues reported to manager on daily basis
• carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by management


Person Specification:

• excellent knowledge of Photoshop or illustrator with a speciality in website design and web graphics
• proficient in Microsoft Office (Inc. Excel)
• passion for and up-to-date knowledge of the latest digital technology and trends
• creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
• demonstrable graphic design skills
• able to multi-task when required, as dictated by the Department’s workload
• able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• able to work well in a team and forge good working relationships
• excellent communication skills to interact and present ideas
• attention to detail and able to produce accurate outputs
• excellent planning, prioritisation and organisation skills
• graphic design related qualification desirable
• experience of social media
