Warehouse Manager

Paying up to £30,000 per annum

A UK based clothing brand is now looking to hire a new Warehouse Manager to join their team. This is a thriving brand that is growing and is featured on large brands such as ASOS and Very websites. They have also been nominated Best Digital retailer & Best App (Drapers Digital Awards) / Fast Track 100 Company - 49th fastest growing private company in the UK - (Sunday Times / Virgin)

The Role:

  • To ensure the smooth flow of goods, documentation and information in and out of the Warehouse
  • Book deliveries into various customer sites using different portals whilst ensuring that partner requirements are met and any issues are resolved in a professional and efficient manner
  • Looking at the workflow of warehouse house ensuring that targets are met along with quality of work expected

Day to Day

  • Ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly documentation and reporting deadlines are met
  • Requesting delivery slots into various Partner DCs using different web based portals
  • Setting up weekly planner for all partners
  • Aim to improve dispatch
  • Providing pre-advice notifications to partners to enable quick and accurate receipt of consignments
  • Working with brands to forecast volumes and communicating this onto DC’s, 3rd party processors, and freight forwarders to ensure efficient processing and shipment of orders.
  • Communicating with partners to provide updates on order/shipment status and to resolve any issues that may arise
  • Creating new, and maintaining existing shipment schedules for use by DC, partners, processors and freight forwarders
  • Maintaining SOPs, guidelines and training documents and ensuring that internal processes are updated regularly
  • Participating in regular operational review meetings with DC, partners, processors and freight forwarders
  • Providing proactive operational direction to the business in order to ensure efficient running of the supply chain
  • Supporting the future growth of the new UK B2B operation
  • Training other teams to provide support and cover
  • Supporting the business with promotional activity and launches for wholesale
  • Providing support on International projects and development plans
  • Ensuring the DC have processed shipments and meet agreed deadlines

Essentials:

  • Minimum of 3 years supply chain experience, ideally with an understanding of classification and export documentation
  • Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of MS Office & Excel
  • Numerate / analytical
  • Accuracy / attention to detail
  • An Adaptable individual with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Confident individual with the ability to liaise at all senior levels
