Your Purpose?

-Provide effective management of all warehouse, spiral & delivery operations within the branch

Duties will include but are not be limited to the close monitoring of both goods in and out, order picking, loading and unloading of vehicles, stock control, health & safety, employees (absence management, disciplinary, grievance etc.) housekeeping (neatness & order), delivery scheduling and generally working within the systems laid down by the company. In addition, you will also provide support to the Branch Manager, assisting them in their duties in managing the branch generally.

Key Responsibilities:-

 To have management control of the warehouse generally, to ensure it’s smooth and efficient running.
 To support the Branch Manager on all matters relating to warehouse operations, ensuring effective stock control and stock levels.
 To implement and maintain correct warehouse procedures, ensuring that best practises are observed at all times and that good housekeeping is maintained.
 To administrate and coordinate spiral production in order to maintain adequate spiral stocks and the timely production of “project” orders.
 To administrate and coordinate “flanged” and “pre-fabricated ductwork” project orders, to ensure the timely production of such orders.
 To administrate and coordinate efficient daily delivery schedules, to ensure the timely and efficient transportation of sales orders, ensuring that maximum recovery of transport costs are achieved, utilising both internal and external transport.
 In conjunction with the Branch Manager plan, co-ordinate and participate in the branch stock takes as and when required.
 To accurately carry out stock check procedures as and when required to do so.
 To provide effective cover for the Branch Manager, during times of their holidays, sickness or absence.
 To complete on time all month end procedures relating to your position and responsibilities, ensuring that all necessary items are fulfilled.
 As directed by the Branch Manager, be responsible for the purchasing of certain general stock products, purchasing said products in accordance with the branches stock profile / company’s profile. All purchasing to be in accordance with the company’s product sourcing guide, from both internal and external suppliers, ensuring that adequate stocks of such items are always maintained and that excessive stock transfers are avoided.
 To become familiar with all aspects of the company’s Axapta computer system that relates to your position.
 To implement H&S procedures and ensure that the warehouse is fully compliant with current H&S legislation.
 To enforce the company’s Health & Safety policy and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
 To work in a professional manner and to respond to both branch and customers needs in the appropriate way to maintain good customer relations.
 Communicate in a professional manner with all staff, to be supportive and courteous at all times and maintain good working relationships.
 To show a continued commitment to develop product knowledge and attend training courses if required to do so.
 To support the Branch Manager in enforcing correct company working practises in accordance with company policy.
 To be responsible for all day to day personnel matters of warehouse / spiral operatives / drivers including but not limited recruiting, selecting, training, attendance (sickness / annual leave), appraisals, discipline, dismissal in accordance with the Company HR policies and practices.
 Any other such duties as maybe required to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the warehouse / branch.
 Maintaining company confidentiality.

A proven track record managing a busy warehouse;
Experience in managing employees and employee related matters (Absenteeism / Disciplinary / Grievances etc.);
H&S experience;
Experience in logistics processes and stock control procedures;
Exceptional customer service;
Strong organisational & planning Skills;
Good time management;
Problem solver;
Excellent interpersonal and social skills;
Team Player;
Positive, self-motivated and committed to achieving results; and
Full driving licence.

Hours- Monday to Friday 8-5, 8-4 on a Friday
Salary £23000
