Treasury Accountant
Basingstoke
Permanent / Full Time


Purpose of the role:
Responsible for completing the Treasury Back Office month-end tasks as part of the Finance Operations team.

Reports to:
GL Operations Accountant

• There are 3 team members reporting into the GL Operations Accountant.
• Periodic travel away from the office may be required.
• Out of hours work as required.

Responsibilities:

Main Activities and Responsibilities:
• Treasury Back Office administration.
• Ensure the input and processing of Treasury transactions in the finance system is accurate.
• Reconciliation of the treasury management system to the accounting system.
• Maintenance of the Treasury systems.
• Ensure daily trade confirmation through Misys
• Conduct daily EMIR trade reporting to DTCC
• Bank account management - opening/maintaining/closing of bank accounts, as well as user maintenance.
• Month-end intercompany balance agreement.
• Perform month-end reporting activities.
• Communicating with counter-parties and other functions in order to solve ad-hoc problems relating to treasury transactions when required.
• Act as main point of contact for Treasury in the Finance Operations team.
• Ensuring the documentation of Standard Operating Procedures is current and still relevant.
• Completion of the Annual internal control assessment exercise.
• Complete the Group half-year ad year-end reporting requirements for area of responsibility.
• Work with external auditors during audit to provide required information.
• Involvement in other ad-hoc and project related work.

Qualifications and experience required:

Qualifications:
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified

Experience:
• Experience working in a corporate finance team
• Experience of working in a Treasury team would be advantageous
