I have a fantastic opportunity as a Customer Service Operator to join an established freight forwarding company dealing with international logistics in Felixstowe

This is a full time role working Monday- Friday 8- 4.30 with one hour lunch break.

The role is offering a salary of £18,000 per annum

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service along with a knowledge of haulage, operations or logistics. You will be using Outlook, Explorer, Excel and Word so will need to be IT literate

Working in logistics can be very fast paced so you will need to be able to work to your own initiative and be able to work well under pressure. You will be able to deal with urgent and un-expectant issues confidently and be comfortable dealing with customers over the telephone, You should be resilient and enjoy working in a dynamic job

What the job involves?

Liaising with third parties regarding collection points, hauliers etc
Obtaining information from customers about different cargos
Researching costings and preparing quotations for customers
Communicating with hauliers over email and telephone
Entering data into company systems

Spoken Italian and/or Spanish would also be beneficial
