Reed HR are working with a very reputable Care Organisation based in Chelsea to recruit a Training Coordinator, on a Fixed Term Contract basis for 6 months. The purpose of this role is to facilitate, co-ordinate, and evaluate training for all staff within the Care Home. 

You will be responsible for working with the General Manager in identifying all staff training needs and requirements within the Care Home. It will then be your role to produce and agree a training plan for all staff, developing and producing any materials required in the process. 

- It will be your responsibility to contantly research, resource and update training materials to ensure continued compliance and adherance with current legislation. 

- You will make applications for funding for NVQ Training from local sources and maintain NVQ qualified staff to above 50%

- Ensure each new member of staff is inducted and the relevant training program is completed within the required time frame as laid down in the organisation' work policy

- Coordinate and complete training in relation to Fire, Health & Safety, POVA, Food Hygiene, moving and Handling, ensuring all employees are constantly meeting standards required. 

- To ensure the correct storage use and control of hazardous substances in compliance with COSHH regulations.

- To maintain and update the Training Matrix for the Home, producing monthly reports to be presented to the General Manager. 

- To develop and organise in-house training/seminars and outside training sessions as appropriate

- To maintain accurate records of in-house and outside courses arranged.

- To ensure that all the home policies and procedures and work practices are adhered to by all staff.


You must have knowledge of elderly care, training / teaching experience, and an understanding of CSCI regulation.

You will need to be self-motivated and demonstrate an understanding of the skills for care training components that are needed.

It is desirable to have a current IOSH, First Aid, Fire Warden and Manual handling certificates or demonstrate a willingness to work towards obtaining them.

It is Critical that you have previous experience working within a Care Home.
