This role is working full time and the services offered is 7 days a week so you must be available to cover weekends on a rota basis working 37 hours a week. This role is expected to last for 6
This role can be office based or working from home however you must have good WIFI and a computer. A car is also needed as you will have to visit tenants’ doorsteps locally in Norwich adhering to social distancing.
As part of the Norwich’s work with the County Council and fellow districts, a role has been created to enhance the ability of districts to engage with people at risk of covid 19 having been in an area where there has been a positive case. This role is designed to ensure that any impacted residents in Norwich understand the need for self-isolation on contact with a positive covid case and have the support they need to ensure their needs are met while isolating. Post holders will support the work of Test and Trace by proactively engaging with residents, offering guidance and signposting to appropriate support to help self-isolation, report instances of non-compliance and enabling the communications of messaging to wide audiences. As such you will need good investigative skills on council systems as well as the ability to engage with people on their doorsteps (in a covid safe way) to encourage them to follow the guidance. They will be fundamental in helping to contain the spread of the virus and keeping our residents safe and supported while they undertake isolation.
You must have excellent IT skills, be confident and personable with people as you will be dealing with sensitive topics with tenants.
Part of the service also offers coordinating a click and collect food deliver service for people shielding as well as helping people in financial hardship to budget and economise.
