My well respected client has a great opportunity for an experienced Business Partner to join them on an interim basis from September until December.
Duties include:
1. To contribute to and influence the business unit's strategic and business plans. 
2. To maintain an up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practice in Human Resources in order to provide comprehensive HR advice to appropriate managers with the support of a central HR administrative team. This will include the interpretation and implementation of the law and all HR policies and practices and in the handling of employee relations matters
3. To take a lead role and provide specialist advice in certain designated areas of employment law and other specialist areas as necessary. 
4. To assist managers and be involved at an early stage in identifying the HR implications of change management strategies, including providing advice and guidance on the review of structures, consultation documents, implementing the agreed changes and meeting with recognised trade unions and with staff
5. To coach and influence managers in order to develop their people management/leadership skills and constructively challenge inappropriate behaviours/actions
6. To advise and work with the business unit on recruitment and selection issues, initiatives and projects, providing innovative solutions when necessary
7. To identify and circulate best practice to other HR Managers (Business Partnering) and the wider HR department, and liaise closely with other members of the HR Management Team to ensure consistency of application of HR policies and practices. 
8. To advise on job grading issues and carry out the role of Job Analyst; preparing and presenting reports, as necessary
9. To assist in the identification and interpretation of staff development/training needs and plan and liaise with the People Development Team on the implementation
of staff development activities for all staff. To assist in the organisation and delivery of
staff development eg. running recruitment and selection courses, performance
management activities, appraiser workshops, etc
