An exciting opportunity for a Temporary Assurance Officer to join a reputable Housing Group in the Insurance Division.

TEMPORARY POSITION IN WARRINGTON: 2 MONTHS WITH THE POSIBILITY OF AN EXTENSION.

HOURLY RATE NEGOTIABLE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain positive and effective working relationships with senior managers and staff to enable effective communication, problem-solving, and a supportive environment to ensure effective risk management and insurance arrangements are in place which support the development of a positive and proactive risk management culture.
• Support the Assurance Manager in implementing the Group’s Risk Management Strategy, supporting managers across the business to manage the risks arising from their areas of responsibility.
• Advise and support colleagues on all Insurance related matters, including leading on the submission of claims, managing 3rd party claims, explaining the cover available from and requirements of insurance policies and other insurance related queries.
• Manage the insurance mailbox on a day to day basis and all associated electronic files
• Support the Assurance Manager with the annual insurance renewals process by working with colleagues across the Group in collecting, collating and submitting all required information.
• Monitor the appropriateness of the Group’s Insurance cover by; recording all relevant claims information, working in partnership with the Group’s Insurers to ensure changes to the Group’s operations are communicated on a timely basis and producing reports as appropriate to enable the Group to demonstrate compliance with insurance policy terms and enable the Group to learn from any insurance risk exposures.
• Attend quarterly meeting with Insurance partners
• Promote the My home, Household contents insurance offer to tenants to increase uptake.
• Operate an effective claims management process, recording and reporting all claims and potential claims, working with the Group’s Insurer’s and internal colleagues to ensure all supporting information is submitted in accordance with required timescales.
• Work with Group’s Insurer’s, health and safety team and internal colleagues to actively reduce instances of harm and subsequent claims
• Attend Health and Safety forum and sub forums
• Produce and maintain effective how to guides to assist colleagues and customers understand the insurance process and their obligations
• Support the Assurance Manager and the resilience manager in emergency response to major incidents. Supporting colleagues and customers with the insurance implications of a major incident
• Support the Assurance Manager in the management of the outsourced internal audit plan. Liaise with internal audit partners, arrange appointments, manage reporting process, timely responses to audit,
• Support the Assurance Manager in the management of the recommendation tracker, ensure all recommendation are completed within the times scales.
• Procedure reports on the status of recommendation at agreed intervals to be presented with in the governance structure.
• Support the Assurance Manager to identify and achieve value for money improvement within the Governance and assurance functions.
