My client is an international manufacturer of warehouse equipment in the printing industry. They have been leaders in their industry for over 160 years, they are a company with a long tradition but stand for quality and viability.

Achieve personal and team quality and quantity targets relating to new and repeat sales of consumables to customers by maximising sales opportunities through proactive outbound calling in planned and ad hoc marketing campaigns;
Develop long term customer relationships and minimise attrition by providing a consistent quality service and participation in proactive retention activities e.g. addressing defection signals, service failure, complaints
Maximise the conversion of calls to successful sale or conclusion on the initial inbound/outbound call;
Manage time effectively to maximise the percentage of total available hours spent on productive and profitable telephone related activity;
Make a positive and proactive contribution to the integration and development of the team;
Provide positive support to the Field Sales Representatives to ensure effective internal working relationships and achieve planned business growth from existing and potential customers
Contribute to the development and maintenance of an accurate customer database for the Direct Marketing Centre
Proactively feedback information from the market, e.g. on pricing so that Heidelberg UK and the call centre can remain responsive to the market
Troubleshoot and recommend improvements in systems and procedures to the Operations and Consumables Manager to increase efficiency and results
Implement all relevant Company and departmental policies, procedures and working practices
Liaise with internal Heidelberg UK customers and build effective internal working relationships to ensure a high level of service to external customers at all times
Maintain and develop knowledge/skills and competence in telephone communication and the business through company training courses, personal planned development and on-the-job coaching support
Undertake administrative tasks and implement sales /service support processes to ensure the provision of agreed service levels to customers
Any other tasks that become necessary from time to time.
The Consumables Telemarketing Agent must be tactful, diplomatic and possess the ability to communicate clearly with excellent negotiation skills. A positive attitude towards customer service is a necessity, as is the ability to work within a close team. The position requires a high level of IT skills, specifically with Microsoft Word® and Excel®, as well as the ability to learn and absorb use of bespoke software. Maintaining confidentiality is an essential trait required for this role, and a positive and proactive approach towards meeting targets is essential. Previous telemarketing experience is desirable
