The Role of the Technical Project Manager (autoCAD)
A Technical Project Manager works with the customer from initial order stage right through to production compiling sales order confirmations and production documents ensuring that the products ordered meet customer requirements.
Providing sales confirmations for Company bespoke products to a diverse customer base, a strong focus on customer service and accuracy is required within this role. Ensuring that the customer receives their sales confirmations within deadlines that are specific to their delivery requirements. Working to ensure that budget levels are met in terms of orders sent to production. Commercial awareness is paramount to ensure that margins goals are achieved for the overall business performance. You must possess attention to detail and well-rounded communication skills in order to interact with various customer types.
o Interpreting specifications in order to generate an accurate sales confirmation document in line with the customers’ requirements and design needs.
o Creating detailed CAD drawings to accompany the sales confirmation document ensuring the customer is fully aware of the product they are ordering.
o Effectively communicate with architects, clients and private individuals on technical data and product designs.
o Producing manufacturing paperwork and communicating with the factories on technical details.
o Offering technical advice and guidance to customers and other members of staff.
o Attending site visits and client meetings where necessary.
o Keeping up to date with technical product changes.
Key Performance Areas:
o Ensure that customers have all the necessary information presented in a clear and concise manner to ensure awareness of the product they are going to receive.
o Effective Communication is key in understanding and interpreting customer design requirements.
o Effective organization skills are required in ensuring deadlines and forecasts are met.
o An eye for design and initiative should be utilized where producing technical drawings for bespoke products
o Identify system changes or improvements to streamline day to day processes.
Experience of autoCAD is essential
Ideally you will have autoCAD experience within the Construction supply Industry with regards to windows/doors/timber products etc
