Role purpose:
Develops and implements product, supplier and commodity sourcing strategies as designated, that will meet the technology programme. To be responsible for the delivery and cost targets for indirect parts and services, as well as meeting internal customer requirements for quality and service. To drive short and medium-term improvements in quality, cost and delivery, with engagement and support of key stakeholders that enhance competitive and commercial performance of the organisation, its customers and its suppliers. As a business partner to the organisation, to support the different areas of the Business across the full product/service life cycle, ensuring issues are resolved effectively, whilst adding value to all tender and purchase activities. To be responsible for the professional management of contract delivery and pro-actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement with, or on behalf of internal customers.

Key Accountabilities:
- Requisition and Purchase Order Management of engineered products and tooling, indirect products and services including raw materials, sub-contract manufacturing processes, IT, Facilities Management services, Site Services, HR services Capital Equipment and Calibration services
- Achieve purchasing performance KPI’s for source to pay processes
- Contract management
- Regular stakeholder reviews
- Development of key suppliers to improve supplier performance
- Identify and implement savings/cost reduction/productivity objectives
- Purchasing risk management and reporting
- Managing new sourcing and repeat sourcing demands, raising and management of all purchase documents within SAP and in line with programme requirements

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

- Purchasing Processes, Systems and behaviours (including physical logistics)
- Source to Pay process management (and leadership)
- Commodity, Product and Service knowledge
- Engineering appreciation and service delivery understanding
- Blue print/drawing and manufacturing appreciation and service design
- Total cost of acquisition of engineering sub-system, service cost drivers and benchmarking
