My Client is a renound professional body within the Waste Management Organisation that produces quality training and technical guidance for its members and the wider sector on wastes, resources, sustainability and environmental issues.

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Advisor to join the professional body which will provide technical, learning and development advice to support the Technical Manager, internal departments and relevant committees.

Benefits: 9% employer pension contribution, on-site parking, 31 days annual leave, life insurance, permanent health insurance, non-contributory health cover
Working hours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

What is the purpose of the role?

To carry out scientific and technical work, projects and related services.

What will the job involve?

- Prioritise members, supporting their success and seek to improve their customer experience
- Work collaboratively and inclusively, internally and externally to share knowledge and good practice whilst providing solutions
- Producing News Online
- Updating knowledge pages on the website
- Co-ordinating SIGs as allocated and attending client visits
- Responding to technical enquiries as received
- Keep up to date with sector legislation and guidance
- Provide technical input to workshops, seminars and webinars
- Support education and training in relation to continuing competence and other areas relevant to knowledge and expertise

What will make me successful?

You will have a sound technical knowledge of wastes and resource management in the UK as well as an understanding of training and development.  Involvement with other departments is also important and requires good interpersonal skills, teamwork and strong communication skills.
