Our client, an East Midlands Local Authority, is looking for an interim Team Manager for its Children’s locality service.

This team manages CIN and Child Protection work through to court work.

The role is predominantly work from home at the moment, with 1 week in 4 in the office so location is not as much of an issue

We can offer £42 per hour (umbrella) for the right candidate.

 
The role will involve the following:
 

  • Managing a team of up to 7 Social Workers of various levels ranging from NQSW to senior practitioner, plus up to 5 support staff.
  • Chairing professional meetings such as strategy discussions and PLO meetings.
  • Allocation and oversight of cases including quality and throughput.
  • Staff recruitment.
  • Budget management.


Requirements of the role:

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • SWE Registered
  • You will need to have some supervisory/management experience
  • You will need some experience in statutory children’s social care, ideally with confidence in court work specifically.
