Team Leader – Sample Administration

Our client, a well renowned global business, based within York City Centre are currently looking for a Team Leader for their busy shipping team.

Job Purpose:

Lead, guide, instruct, make assignments, and direct a team to perform inbound & outbound processing of paperwork in order to deliver studies on time, on budget, as contracted with friendly, engaging, and responsive client service from specimen receipt thru specimen storage disposition and shipment.



Essential Functions:

• Oversee the daily management of the team
• Prepares department schedule and arranges for accurate coverage as needed.
• Delegate tasks to team members for work flow efficiency.
• Participates with department management in the recruiting, hiring and training of employees.
• Procedure requirements and compliance
• Specimen Management specific tasks
• Collects data required for Quality Assurance monitors Point of contact for CT Study Support and Project Management.
• Identify and trouble shoot issues
• Assists department management with procedure creation and revision as needed.
• Participates in meetings and discussions at request of department management.
• Interacts with Quality Assurance Auditors and Sponsor Auditors as needed.
• Performs all duties in compliance with regulatory boards
• Is knowledgeable about U.S. and foreign shipping requirements and uses this knowledge appropriately when shipping and consulting with department personnel regarding shipments.
• Process inbound shipments accurately and timely during study execution by
• Manage the daily storage of specimens during study execution
• Process outbound shipments accurately and timely during study execution
• Perform successful study closure by performing outbound shipment duties and paperwork
• Maintain a positive experience by engaging with clients, vendors, co-workers, and management, with a positive attitude and by solving issues/requests in a timely manner
• Protect company and clients by adhering to regulatory, safety, confidentiality, human rights, and health policies & procedures and by keeping work areas neat and clean.
