Schools are open again! And they're getting busier. The demand is increasing for pupil support working both 1-2-1 and in small groups with children at various ages and so I'm appealing to those of you with experience working with children up to age 18 to get in touch!
There are lots of safety measures, including PPE and social distancing rules, in place to support educators and you can help make sure children have access to learning no matter what's happening in the rest of the world!
Type of roles: Teaching Assistant, HLTAs, 1-2-1 support, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Specialist
Type of schools: Various specialist provisions including ASD, SEMH, PMLD, MLD and PRU but we do work in mainstream too!
Vacancies: There will be a mix of permanent and supply work (both long term or daily, depending on what suits you)
Salary: Schools recruit using the Surrey pay scale, typically starting £65-85 per day depending on the role
Hours: Most support roles do require some consistency so ideally you'll be able to commit to 3-5 days per week
Of course, there are some of the obvious requirements to be mindful of:
- Qualification checks (ideally English & Maths grade C or equivalent)
- Good behaviour management
- An understanding of special educational needs
- A sense of humour
- Passionate about education & working with children
- Access to a car or transport helps as some of the schools are off public transport routes
Interested? If so, apply today and I’ll be in touch to discuss!
