REED Education Reading are currently working in support of a specialist ASD unit based in the Bracknell area. We are looking to recruit for a specialist Teaching Assistant to join the school on a temporary basis for the summer term, or sooner.
The school in Bracknell is a specialist resource for children aged 11-19 with high functioning autistic spectrum conditions living in Bracknell Forest and surrounding local authorities.
The right people will be resilient in nature and have the ability to form relationships with students from the moment they walk into the classroom. Working with children diagnosed with high functioning autism will mean being able to adapt to situations in a calm and supportive manner whilst also being able to set the necessary boundaries to enable learning in a safe and structured environment.
Experience working with ASD, ADD, ADHD and other complex needs would be desirable, however applicants wishing to move from mainstream to special educational needs will be very much considered.
Due to the nature of the needs of the children consistency is essential, therefore we require applicants to be available full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 15:30.
If this is something of interest to you, please contact Dan Brown at Reading Education or apply to this role for more information.
