The LTA are currently recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work with a Special Needs child on a 1:1 basis in a school in Leyland. The hours are from 8.45 – 3.30 each day (total of 30 hours per week). As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required to work with a child who has MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY who can show signs of challenging behaviour. The child is in a Year 4 class. Candidates with experience of ‘moving and handling’ would suit this role. This school provide an excellent support structure for staff and pupils alike. The school are looking to appoint the right person for AT LEAST the first half-term from September 2017.

Candidates must have:
Experience of working with children with SEN
Experience of working on a 1:1 basis with pupils (desirable)
Moving and Handling (desireable)
A strong positive work ethic
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
