Reed Education Bristol are currently working with a great school on an exciting new role in North Somerset, for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Food Technology and Nutrition.

To start in September 2017, the school are looking for an outstanding Food Technology and Nutrition Teacher to join them on a part time, fixed term contract, until 31 December 2017. 

The role is open to experienced Food Technology Teachers as well as NQTs. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.

• The school is a friendly and high achieving co-ed, day and boarding independent school for 3 – 18 year olds.

The Role:

• The role is planned to be 40% - 50% of full time, negotiable.
• The successful candidate will be the sole teacher of Food, under the management of the Head of Technology Faculty.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the content, planning and delivery of the food curriculum at KS3.
• There is the opportunity to be involved in extra-curricular activities at the school, through the delivery of food preparation skills.

What you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant Degree (or equivalent experience/qualification), and a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience of teaching at KS4 would be an advantage.
• You will be an excellent classroom teacher with the ability to plan, prepare and teach creative and stimulating lessons.
• You should be highly organised with the ability to work well in a team.
• You should be passionate about Food Technology and Nutrition, have excellent subject knowledge alongside knowledge of effective teaching strategies.
