A fantastic opportunity has just come available with a client of mine based very close to Richmond-Upon-Thames. This is a fast-growing practice who are one of the leaders of the new generation of financial services companies. My client are looking for a Tax Accountant to join there tax department. 

The Role

• Travel expenses paid in accordance with the firm’s travel policy.
• Working with a portfolio of tax clients and reporting to a tax partner.
• Form good relationships with clients, with the aim of being main point of contact with clients. 
• Working with colleagues and clients to gather information needed for the preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns to include employment, self-employed, investment, overseas and rental income and capital gains.
• Advising clients on tax planning opportunities in order to mitigate tax liabilities.
• Dealing with enquiries from HMRC.
• Reasonable study costs for relevant qualification met by the firm, subject to the absolute discretion of the practice Board of Directors and mutual agreement to the firm’s study policy. 
• CPD courses provided for a qualified member of staff.

Candidate Specifications

• ATT/CTA studier preferred.
• In this Tax Accountant role you will need to have at least one years practice experience in small-medium sized Practice. 
• Ability to manage a portfolio of tax clients is preferred. 
• Strong academic history required. 
• In this Tax Accountant role having solid experience in and understanding of personal tax and keeping up with latest tax changes that affect clients on a daily basis will be a massive advantage
• Some accounts preparation experience an advantage.
• In this Tax Accountant role having knowledge of taxes other than personal tax an advantage.
• Exemplary team player with a positive, client focused attitude.
• Competent on computers and associated software. Working knowledge of CCH and MS Office products, especially Excel, a strong advantage. 
• Excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills, good spoken and written English.
• Working accurately and working to deadlines. 

- This role is based in a vibrant location with ease of access to travel links around London. You will be working in fantastic offices within a well known practice.
