Systems Engineer - 3rd Line - Infrastructure Engineer sought by a growing business with offices in Basingstoke.
My client are seeking an experienced, motivated and driven individual with a positive attitude, confidence in their abilities and good written and verbal communication skills to join their Support team on a full-time basis. You will be required to support both internal IT hardware and software, and also work as technical support for their clients.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all internal IT hardware and software, including Windows servers.
• Testing of equipment before it goes out for installation.
• Respond to both customer and internal issues in a timely manner.
• Escalation support for field-based technicians.
• Translate technical information into accessible, user-friendly language.
• Work in a 50-50 split between BAU and project work
Experience sought:
• Minimum of 2 years in a similar IT support role.
• Experience in both 2nd and 3rd line support
• Good knowledge of Windows servers, Office 365, Cisco, MS Office, networking, firewalls and infrastructure.
• An ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff across all levels in a way that is easy to understand.
• High quality written and verbal communication.
• The ability to work under pressure and to timescales, often working on multiple projects simultaneously.
You will be entitled to a generous salary, car allowance, and holiday and pension scheme. There is no on call within this role and the standard hours are Monday to Friday (9.00am to 5.30pm)
