Newcastle upon Tyne – up to £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)
This position will see you take ownership for the implementation of COINS ERP, an accountancy software solution. Ultimately, it will be up to you to oversee and familiarise yourself with the software and ensure complete reconciliation of data between the two solutions (GP and COINS). Along with this, there is a requirement to support and design an ETL process and assist in the development of a business intelligence (BI) reporting suite.
This position will see you lead and undertake activities, to ensure complete integrity of data upon transfer to the new FV system. This includes the definition, development and application of testing methodologies to ensure that data is correct and can be reconciled between the two systems.
Other requirements will see you support and design the ETL process to populate the SQL Data Warehouse, and also support in the development of the BI software suite to create a reporting suite.
The company are major players in their industry and have a good reputation for looking after their staff. You will be an integral member of the IT function and have real influence on the direction of initial project. This position gives you the opportunity to make a real foot-print with your work.
Your typical day will often differ depending on how far through the implementation project that you are initially. Your daily responsibilities do include working closely with the FV team and project team; so that you can support all aspects of the data build.
To be considered, I am looking for the following skills and abilities:
- Strong understanding of IT and relational databases
- Experience of using multi-dimensional BI tools (QlikView, PowerBI, Tableau etc.)
- Strong ETL and SQL Query tools experience
- A qualification in accountancy or finance, or demonstrable working experience in either of the sectors
No educational requirements are in place for this role, however as always are beneficial; specifically those accountancy and finance related. Demonstrable working experience to back up the above required skills and abilities is essential.
