REED Social Care agency are actively recruiting temporary but ongoing support workers to work within several mainstream residential children's homes in the Sheffield area.

Responsibilities will include:
Implementation of support plans
'Corporate parenting' - helping children gain valuable life skills
Ensuring the safety of all children and fellow staff
Making sure the home is run efficiently and effectively
Working as a team to provide the highest level of care
Liaising with fellow support workers and families
Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

This is a challenging but rewarding role - no two days will be the same!

The role is based around shift patterns of early shifts, late shifts, waking nights and sleep ins, and offers a competitive hourly rate, form £8.75 - £15.99 per hour. This is a flexible role which will fit in perfectly with busy lifestyles.

As per client request, you must have at least 6 months of care and support work experience. You must also be able to provide the previous 5 years of work references, with at least 2 of them care related. You must need to be able to provide evidence of working within a residential children's home in order to be considered for this role.

Due to the nature of the role you will need to submit a DBS check, and if you aren't signed up for the Update Service, this will incur a cost of £44 (refundable after 100 hours worked). You will also have to attend 1 day of mandatory company training.
