Are you A Support Worker with experience working in homeless hostels? Are you looking for a rewarding, challenging and worthwhile role? Do you want a flexible working schedule? If so, then we are looking for YOU!

Here at Reed we are are looking for qualified Support Workers to work with ex-offenders that have multiple support needs relating to issues such as alcohol and substance misuse and those with mental health problems.

The post holders will be required to take responsibility for completing all essential support tasks whilst maintaining Professional Boundaries and Confidentiality. No two days are the same in this role which is what makes it so enjoyable.

You will also need to assist with housing management issues, health and safety checks and creating, managing and updating rent accounts and risk assessments.

We are looking for someone that can effectively plan, including signposting clients to the correct external agencies for assistance.

As a Support Worker you will be responsible for providing an intensive housing management service within specialist supported accommodation for adult offenders/homeless people.

You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of day to day housing management tasks such as -

  • Processing referrals.
  • Management of repairs.
  • Health and safety.
  • Effective new client inductions.
  • Responding to incidents of anti-social behaviour.

Experience:

You should have aminimum of 6 months experience in a similar role and ideally hold an NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care.

It is important that you are flexible and adaptable individual with superb communication skills. A cheerful personality, a positive attitude and the ability to manage any situation which may arise is essential.
