Reed Education is looking for enthusiastic and positive teachers of all subjects in Devon and Cornwall to join our wonderful supply team for September 2020. If you are looking for just one or two days of temporary work across a week, or full time all through the year then please get in touch to talk about what your options could be.
Our experienced, dedicated team based in Plymouth have been working hard to build on our existing relationships with schools across the area, and to forge new ones, even through the recent enforced closures. As such, we are proud to offer a wide range of working environments across a large geographical area to suit your preferences. Part of our plan going forward is to develop pools of temporary staff for specific schools so as to improve consistency, this will mean you can develop relationships of your own in a smaller number of schools. You’ll really feel like every time you walk through the school gates you are delivering something of value.
You will teach your own subject, and no doubt all the rest of the curriculum too, sometimes with very little notice or planning. Your teaching style should be agile enough to respond to the situation in front of you and to deliver the highest standard of lesson from the information available to you. This adds to the excitement and variation of the role and no two days will ever be the same! You can build up a huge amount of valuable, professional experience over a short space of time. If you are in the early stages of your teaching career it can really help you to build your confidence quickly too.
We are with you every step of the way. We know these schools, we have visited them, watched their own staff teach lessons, spoken at length with their cover teams and leadership about they want from temporary cover so we will make sure you are armed with as much knowledge and info as possible so you can do a great job.
You can earn up to £600 a week being a supply teacher, and considerably more if you are teaching your subject with planning, marking and a few additional responsibilities in a long term role. You can pick when and where you work, with as much flexibility as you need to fit around your lifestyle. You can be part of a fantastic team, providing an essential service for the schools in your community and still continue in the profession that you have worked so hard to be part of.
For more information please click “Apply”. Your application will come directly to me so I’ll be in touch with you the same working day where possible to start your journey with Reed Education. We can’t wait to meet you.
