My client is a major world wide distributor of it's specialist products and they are currently looking to appoint a Supply Planner to support their UK distribution function. 

As part of a global team, you are responsible for ordering products to the UK distribution center, and are the primary communication link between the Business Unit and the integrated Supply Chain.

Your duties will include - 

• Coordination, optimization of the supply chain as well as the planning of the strategic worldwide flow of goods in cooperation with the Headquarter in the USA
• Manages Stock Transport Orders (STO) or Purchase Orders for inbound finished goods. Monitor the delivery and check the receipt. Secure the storage or in-house distribution. All purchase orders for trading goods must be executed in SAP.
• Ensure the availability of products in the UK distribution center.
• Check pricing on supplier invoices on SAP with reference to the relevant purchase orders.
• Analysis of materials and their handling as well as the identification of order points.
• Generate and monitor purchase requisitions in SAP as well as carry out material transfers within the various organizations.
• Purchasing of all Supplier Spares
• Supply Planning of Products
• Partake in the aged stock process
• Maintain the material and vendor master data in SAP.
• Support for the introduction of new products, including maintenance of the material master in SAP.
• Coordination of requirements and deadlines with sales and customer service.
• Work closely with customer service, Warehouse, Finance & other departments as necessary.
• Maintain a good relationship with colleagues in the Germany & US.

Your profile:

• You have a completed commercial training or a corresponding degree and have several years of experience in the supply chain.
• You have a good understanding of SAP MRP, BW and APO.
• You have excellent communication skills, you work independently and structured.
