My Client are a leading manufacturing business with both onsite production and assembly onsite and between 250 - 300 staff in the UK.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Supply Chain who can come in and manage a Supply Chain Manager and three Supply Chain Coordinators.
The role will continue a program of continuous improvement within the supply chain. The business have recently implemented a new system into Supply Chain which is working very well and as Head of Supply Chain you will look to continue with it's overall improvement.
There is a cost reduction plan in place which you will deliver, as well as contributing your own strategies for this.
As Head of Supply Chain, your role will be very Procurement driven, as the business already have an Operations and Logistics Manager, also a Demand Manager.
You will lead your team to the successful delivery of OTIF when it comes to components and materials for production, manage the performance of your sub-contractors and the OTIF of finished goods.
Your role will also manage purchasing activities relating to New Product Development.
The company are very continuous improvement driven and you will take responsibility for this within procurement.
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced manager of procurement teams and will have a proven track record of delivery savings, deliver materials/components consistently on time and to correct quality and you will have a good background working in manufacturing and assembly driven production environments.
You will also have experience of managing a globally based supply chain in regards to suppliers.
The role requires an individual who is very strong working within an ERP/MRP environment.
Ideally you will be CIPS qualified.
