Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday

An established fit-out and refurbishment company based in London is looking for an Subcontractor Clerk to join the team and take sole control of the subcontractor ledger. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience within the Construction industry that are looking to settle into a position and really make it their own. 

This is a high volume processing position and candidates must be prepared to carry out responsibilities at high volumes in a timely and accurate manner. 

Subcontractor Management

  • Raise all Subcontractor Certificates received by Commercial Managers on accounting system, ensuring a matching invoice has been received from the Subcontractor
  • Management of CIS Verification’s & Insurances
  • Deduct CIS in accordance with HMRC Legislation
  • Process Subcontractor Payments & Post payments in Sage
  • Issue Remittance Advices to Subcontractors
  • Issuing CIS statements to Subcontractors
  • Maintaining Clean Ledgers & Filling System

Ganger Management

  • Process all ganger invoices to accounting system
  • Deduct CIS in accordance with HMRC Legislation
  • Process ganger payments weekly

Retentions

  • Maintain Subcontractor retention schedule

Reporting

  • File Monthly CIS Returns

Other Duties

  • Provide cover for the accounts assistant during leave periods,
  • Completion of Ad-hoc duties upon instruction from the Finance Manager
