About the Employer
A prestigious organisation, linked very closely within Hospitality and one of London’s largest distributors within its niche is currently looking for support within its distribution team.

About the Role
Manage a busy, fast paced, high volume warehouse distribution and logistics operation. The successful candidate will oversee the efficient dispatch of a wide range of products. To achieve this, they will have proven experience of managing a mix of warehouse and stock control personnel, ensuring productivity targets are met and to oversee the maintenance of warehouse operations and stock control management systems. Previous experience of working in a similar role managing a team.

Key Accountabilities
Support Supply Chain engagement between Retail/Wholesale//Restaurant stakeholders
Deliver process integration with all stakeholders to synchronise operations to support logistics solution across the group
Direct and oversee the packing and stock control teams managing team’s shifts/rota
Ensure Health and safety provisions are enforced and followed in Warehouse
Manage Payroll for packing and stock control teams
Provide information flow within different areas and work collaboratively with all Departments.
Organise and create manuals for the picking and stocking process
Plan and schedule the routing of transport to and from store location/restaurants
Set schedule for drivers/pickers and manage rota for warehouse
Improve quality and accuracy of picked and packed orders
Improve (make shorter) lead times of order dispatch
Supervise picking team leader on daily/weekly basis
Organise ergonomic stock storage that makes picking process faster
Improve/Create stock control systems, processes and policies
Make sure purchase costs from suppliers and labels are updated to the system
Regular meetings with Management about order dispatch targets and stock control accuracy
Any other ad hoc duties associated with this role as requested by Management
Ideal Candidate
Candidate must have an advanced level of English, conversational and grammar/spelling
1-2 years relevant experience working in warehouse managerial role
Successful background in Supply Chain Customer Collaboration with additional experience in demand and supply planning
Strong Distribution and Logistics, commercial and financial exposure and understanding
Candidate must have proven experience in managing a team
Candidate must have eagerness to introduce Japanese food and/or proven experience in the F&B industry
Demonstrated record of successfully working with Senior Management both internally and externally through Supply Chain planning processes
Team player, focussed on total company delivery also thrives in a challenging and complex environment
Computer literate
Salary Permanent salary ranging up to £30000
