Hours: 19 hrs Monday-Friday

Our REED Education FE branch are currently working with a great college on an exciting new role in the Croydon area.

Starting on 21st september 2017, the college are looking for an outstanding Sports Lecturer to join them on a Temporary cover basis.

The College:


· Our client’s ambition is to contribute further to improving the education offer for all pupils and students in their communities, including those with SEN.
· Currently, the College offers specialist education programmes for students aged 16 and over in five main Centres and additional satellite provision in London and Surrey.
· The Academy Trust enables them to build on and extend the scope of their work, so that Academy pupils can also benefit from their expertise and access a greater range of opportunities arising from their strong community and stakeholder networks.

The Role:

· Teaching sports up to level 3 in a further education setting
·Preparation and delivery of lessons and courses; assessment, recording and reporting on assessment of students.
· Acting as group and personal tutor; delivery of tutorial programme; guidance to members of tutor group; supporting and participating in curriculum development; accurate maintenance of registers; preparation of tutor reports.
· Consultation and reporting with parents and colleagues as needed.
· Attendance at staff, department, team meetings and parents' consultation meetings.
· Participation in examination arrangements including invigilating.
· Participation in learner admission , learner trips and visits,
· Enrichment and guidance of learners.
participation in marketing an promotional events.

· You will be working with students aged 16+
· Effective curriculum and lesson planning which meets individual needs is essential

What you will need:

· A recognised teaching qualification
· Degree or equivalent in the related subject.
· Experience delivering sports up to Level 3 in a Further Education setting.
· Good classroom management
