You will be expected to provide professional and comprehensive casework to a caseload of children and young people, some of which will be complex and sensitive cases and will require the highest of professional standards and in depth knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation and practice methods. You will be responsible for case management compliance as per the Council's policies and procedures. Previous experience of CSE work would be advantageous. Being a Social Worker for Children’s Services will involve submitting written reports when required including statements and care plans for care proceedings in County and High Courts.

The successful applicant will hold a recognised Social Work Qualification, be registered with the HCPC and have at least 2 years practical experience as a Social Worker. Experience of multi-disciplinary working with children and families is necessary along with a knowledge and understanding of the Framework for the assessment of children in need and their families.
