Summary The school requires a reliable, hardworking, trustworthy individual with a passion for getting involved in site maintenance. We are looking for someone to work under the direction of the Site Manager in accordance with the caretaking duties listed on the attached job description. The successful candidate will also act as a key holder with shared responsibility for the security of the site and the accountability of all students, staff, visitors and contractors.

The successful candidate will work a split shift 7.00am to 12.30pm and 3.30pm until 5.30pm (finish 5pm on Friday) however some flexibility will be required. This is a full-time, full year post however holidays will not be allowed during term-time.

The LTA is committed to the safeguarding of children and the successful candidate will require enhanced DBS Clearance.

Shortlisting will take place during the week commencing 28th August and only shortlisted candidates will be notified of the interview details.
Essential Qualifications Minimum Grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths

Desirable Qualifications Please refer to the attached person specification.
A first aid qualification or willingness to undertake training is required.
Essential Experience The role includes data recording, filing and document control to support the manual aspects of the role so attention to detail and accuracy is vital. Excellent levels of communication with children, staff parents and the community are essential to ensure the site achieves its full potential and to support the learning environment. A flexible approach to work is very important.
Desirable Experience- Strong background or interest in a broad range of maintenance skills
- Ability to plan ahead and prioritise own workload including that of the cleaning team
- Good IT skills
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to prepare for H&S audits and site inspections
- Good communication skills
- Tolerant of consistent issues in a school environment
- Pride in the site's visible appearance
- Ability to deal with numerous requests from staff
- Demonstrate a good attendance record
