Execute sea-freight transportation activities in accordance with all customer service requirements, bill of lading, liaising with shipping lines and container bookings.
Adhere to operational margins by customer.
Ensure on-time delivery of cargo by tracking loads through to delivery and providing customer updates, where necessary.
Utilise problem solving tools to implement corrective actions with suppliers when needed.
Provide world class customer service, and take ownership for assigned customers.
Actively identify savings opportunities through load consolidation activities.
Have proven freight forwarding experience relating to ocean freight.
Communicate with shippers and suppliers to ensure maximization of container utilisation (20' & 40' sizes).
Enter accurate data into system for booking, tracking and billing shipments.
Complete invoicing to customers as per company standards.
