Our client is a company with a nationwide operation and is at the pinnacle of their chosen field.
They are currently seeking a Service Manager from the security alarm sector to look after the service team.
The Service Manager will look after both the day to day activities of the service engineering team within the branch, to ensure that the service operation remains cost effective and profitable.
This means that you need to be able to show that you have good commercial acumen, proven man management skills and excellent communication and customer service skills. This is in order to work closely with the service and sales team to demonstrate the ability to retain and grow the customer base. Lastly you will be responsible for resource planning, making efficient use of the engineering team wherever possible and ensuring each engineer returns the maximum amount of chargeable hours each week.
Your administration skills will also be brought to the fore as well as your engineering background, ensuring that quotes, orders, pricing and invoicing are all in order & realistic as well as liaising with the regional manager on debts and targets, budgeting the branch accordingly, therefore expect the role to be split 50:50 between the office and the field.

To be considered you must demonstrate:
• A proven track record in service engineering supervision or management and demonstrable strategic planning / man management skills
• Knowledge / experience of the installation and maintenance of security systems both domestic and commercial commercial customer
• Proven ability to meet and exceed targets
• Full Drivers Licence with no more than three penalty points
