I am currently looking for a Senior Schools Standards and Effectiveness Officer to start in the Doncaster area from Monday 28th August 2017. The successful applicant will be required to work Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 5pm daily and will be required to work until the end of December 2017.

Reporting to the Head of Service Education Standards and Effectiveness, the main purpose of this role would be to perform a leading role in raising standards, challenging underperformance and improving the life chances of all children. The successful candidate would be required to a significant school improvement role through analysing standards and effectiveness of provision in schools and managing high impact intervention strategies. Prioritisation of schools of concern to the Local Authority according to statutory duties.

The successfull candidate would be responsible for:
- Working the Council's intervention and support strategy with an identified group of schools causing concern.
- Conducting improvement conversations with Head Teachers and leadership teams.
- Actively contributing to the strategic direct and sucess of the 'one service' strategy.
- Effective engagement with partners, in particular the Teaching School Alliance, to address priorities.

In order to be able to apply for this role you must hold a degree and a teaching qualification. You will have successful leadership experience, ideally as a Successful Primary Head Teacher and a proven track record of school improvement in the primary sector. You will need thorough knowledge and understanding of the national and local landscape of school improvement and good knowledge of the Ofsted framework and its application.
