Reed Finance have been engaged by a well-established manufacturing group to recruit a Senior Management Accountant.
The company have been in business for decades, weathering many an economic storm, and are going from strength to strength. Their range of products means that they are not governed by seasonal demand, and one market can support any downturn of another, to ensure their continued overall success.
This is a new post created due to their growth, designed to support the Finance Director by producing the management accounts, analysing and presenting key information to be used by the business in making critical financial decisions.
You’ll draw on your strong interpersonal skills to work partner with the management team to assist in their understanding of the financial information, and the impact on their departments and liaise with the production team to analyse Bill of Materials to ensure costings are accurate.
You will prepare forecasts to assist with business planning and assist with business planning, create management accounts including commentary, cash-flow analysis and undertake balance sheet reconciliations.
Other aspects of the role will involve, contribute to the development of the department’s financial systems and policies and work on special projects as and when they arise.
To apply it is imperative that you can demonstrate similar experience within manufacturing (or transferable sector), proficient in costings.
You will hold an accountancy qualification such as CIMA or ACCA, have worked with other areas of a business where you have effectively relayed financial information to those not from a finance background.
Good systems skills will also give you an advantage, with advanced Excel and SAP being of particular interest.
