Lovely school situated in a very pleasant residential location in SE London are recruiting an Administrative Officer to start at the end of August and continue working until the October half term

Duties will include:

Under the guidance of senior staff, be responsible for undertaking administrative / financial /
organisational processes within the school. Assist with the planning and development of
school general office services.

Undertake reception duties, answering routine telephone and face to face enquiries and
signing in visitors
Assist with the planning, development and organisation of support service systems  /procedures/policies
Order, program and maintain staff card swipe system
Deal with complex reception/visitor etc. matters
Assist in arrangements for school trips, events etc.
Provide general clerical/admin support e.g. photocopying, filing, scanning, complete
standard forms, respond to routine correspondence
Manage and maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems
Input and maintain al Pupil attendance and absence information, ensuring Pupils’
attendance details are up to date, and all details are recorded within the computerised
Preparing standard statistical attendance information and Liaising with Parents,
Head Teacher and the appropriate interfaces at Lewisham.
Produce lists/ information/analyse and evaluate/data as required
Undertake typing and word-processing and other IT based tasks
Provide personal, administrative and organisational support to HT and other staff
Provide administrative and organisational support to the governing body
Undertake administrative procedures
Complete and submit complex forms, returns etc., including those to outside agencies e.g.
Operate relevant equipment/ICT packages (e.g. word, excel, databases,
spreadsheets, internet)
Maintain stock and supplies, cataloguing and distributing as required
Manage staff pay claims
Undertake research and obtain information to inform decisions (e.g. school journey)
Assist with marketing and promotion of the school
Provide advice and guidance to staff, pupils and others
Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and
security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate
Be aware of and support diversity and ensure equal opportunities for all
Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school
Appreciate and support the role of other professionals
Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other
Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required
Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as
Recognise own strengths and areas of expertise and use these to advise and
support others
