As a Senior IT Security Analyst you will work as a member of the Information Security Team and work with the IT department to select and deploy technical controls to meet specific security requirements, as well as defining processes and standards to ensure that security configurations are maintained throughout the business. The role will involve out of hours support, based on a rota and also may involve international travel.

Main Responsibilities as a Senior IT Security Analyst
• Identify security requirements, using methods that may include risk and business impact assessments
• Work with information security leadership to develop security strategies
• Collaborate on critical IT projects to ensure that security issues are addressed throughout the project life cycle
• Work with the IT department and members of the information security team to identify, select and implement technical controls
• Develop security processes and procedures
• Research, evaluate and recommend information-security-related hardware and software
• Develop a common set of security tools. Define operational parameters for their use, and conduct reviews of tool output
• Perform control and vulnerability assessments to identify control weaknesses and assess the effectiveness of existing controls, and recommend remedial action
• Define testing criteria for systems and applications

Key Skills/Qualifications required as a Senior IT Security Analyst
• Minimum of three years' IT or network security experience
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, information security or equivalent work experience
• Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Organization for Standardization
• Excellent technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems and a wide range of security technologies
• Technical expertise in system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, network and web-related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, etc.)
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts.
