Our public sector client operate a network of centres across England and North Wales, the results from which can be life-saving. Your role in the organisation is to provide expert HR advice and support.

Senior HR Consultant

This role will enable diverse and vital operational teams to achieve their objectives and support the HR Business Partners in their roles.

To support our clients' mission, you will:

Drive best practice in key operational areas including sickness absence, organisational change, health and well-being, recruitment and performance management
Implement robust processes and enhance effective working relationships with key stakeholders including staff, operational managers and trades unions

The Senior HR Consultant must:
Be comfortable working autonomously
Have considerable experience in a public or private sector busy HR fuction
Be skilled in dealing with Employee Relations in a unionised environment
Have strong coaching, facilitation, training and report writing skills

You will be working as part of a team promoting best practice in HR and providing outcome focused rounded workforce solutions to support mangers and staff. By demonstrating how employment cases are being managed in a sensitive, supportive, timely and appropriate manner you will support the relevant HR Business Partner. Duties include providing expert advice and internal consultancy service to all managers on key areas such as:

Discipline
Grievance
Organisational Change
Performance Management
Health and Well Being agenda and Sickness Management
Development and Implementation of Policies and Procedures
Conditions of service
Recruitment and Resourcing
Job Evaluation and Job Redesign

The role will be Bristol based with travel to other sites



You will have the ability to:
Be flexible according to business needs
Have strong Employee Relation experience
Facilitate between stakeholders
To assess issues and provide appropriate solutions
Devise contractual arrangements and have contractual knowledge and experience
Interpret and apply HR policies and procedures
Handle confidential information
Positively influence others
Produce accurate reports
Prioritise you own work and planning
Posess influencing and negotiation skills
Provide assistance and advice to managers for hearings
Present and produce HR training packages

This role requires a willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays (notice will be given).

You must hold a graduate CIPD qualification or equivalent and have recent HR casework experience

FTC expected end date 31st March 2018

Salary range: £31,500 – £41,500 dependent on experience (pro rata)
