Our partner company is a multinational company who is looking for a Senior General Ledger Accountant. Its Shared Service Center in Budapest is continuously growing in the heart of the city.

- Responsible for US GAAP, reporting and analyses of data and other ad hoc requests for information
- Perform month-end closings, general ledger account analysis and Balance Sheet account reconciliations, prepare SOX controls
- Prepare and post journal entries and perform related account reconciliations, in addition to loading financial data into BCS monthly
- Prepare and review management reports and financial information analysis on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Identifying, solving and/or escalating accounting issues to his/her supervisor
- Interact with other finance and accounting personnel thorough the organization
- Continuously improve closing processes and efficiency
- Ensures compliance with company's policies / procedures and SOX controls
- Interfaces with external and internal auditors for requests and process and account explanations
- Actively participate in general ledger change projects as required

Requirements that make you the best candidate:

• BSc or MSc Degree in Finance/Accounting
• At least 2-5 years relevant work experience in accounting; previous experience in a shared service center or accounting experience at a large company, or fast paced environment is desired
• Conversational English language knowledge
• Previous experience with SAP (or similar ERP system) is an advantage
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills while being able to work independently
• Knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley Act is desired
