The Royal College of General Practitioners is the largest membership organisation solely for GPs in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1952, it has over 54,000 members who are committed to improving patient care, developing their own skills and promoting general practice as a discipline. General practice is the largest branch of the medical profession. It provides some 1 million consultations for patients in the UK every working day and deals with 86% of the health problems experienced by the UK population.
This is an exciting and vital role dealing with senior stakeholders across all 4 entities in the organisation and enabling robust, data driven business decision making. The role manages the finance business partnering and management accounts team and is key to enabling the organisation to deliver on its strategic objectives. The candidate must have the ability to work in detail whilst maintaining oversight of the big picture.
The candidate requires experience in developing constructive relationships across an organisation and proven skills in team management. Experience in commercial and charitable finance would be beneficial.
The role will be assisting with the maturation of the finance optimisation program and embedding of a continuous improvement mindset. Fundamental to this is the development and maintenance of effective working relationships across the organisation, helping them see finance as a value-add function and critical friend.
The candidate must be CCAB qualified and educated to degree level.
