Reed Accountancy Oxfordshire are delighted to be partnering with a well-respected, stable and diverse organisation, who seek to recruit a Senior Finance Assistant to join their team. This position is an exciting opportunity to take on a role within a small but dynamic finance team in all of its operational activities. The company in question acts under a group umbrella, that works with companies, government departments, NGOs and civil society organisations across the world, ensuring sustainability in practice and minimising any environmental impacts.

As part of a broad range of responsibilities, your duties will include;

- Responsible for the generation of key management reports, highlighting discrepancies for escalation to Management, which will include:
- Generating monthly fixed cost reports, generating monthly income and forecasting reports for projects, reconciling general ledger balances
- Completing monthly checklists, compiling management accounts file for review
- Maintaining accurate accounting records, including the day to day transaction processing of sales, purchase and nominal ledger records, which will include:
- Ensuring customer invoices are processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Processing supplier payments, customer receipts and the bank is fully reconciled
- Ensuring all VAT records are coded correctly
- Reviewing debtor and creditor accounts, processing accruals and prepayments
- Reviewing time sheets and expense claims
- Performing credit control activities, supporting cash-flow forecasting

- Additional responsibilities will include, assisting the Management Teasm with preparing Year-End audit files, ensuring all information and supporting documents are electronically, assisting Finance Assistant in their day to say duties, reviewing their work and checking for accuracy.

As the ideal applicant, you will be studying for your ACCA or CIMA qualifications, whilst looking to develop your practical skills further;
- A desire to work for a global not for profit organisation
- Several years Finance experience, with knowledge of reporting
- Strong IT skills inclusive of MS Excel and accounting systems such as Sage
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A drive and ability to express career ambition
