Senior Customer Information Officer

I am recruiting for an experienced Senior Customer Information Officer for a large organisation based in the Lewisham area.

The company are looking for someone to join their Resolution Team on an ongoing temporary basis, full time Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm.

The role is for an immediate start and would be ideal for someone currently looking for immediate work and ready to provide their skills and experience  to the team.

The pay rate is £24.66 per hour as a limited rate but we also have the option to pay applicants PAYE. We can also offer other benefits such as paid holidays, Reed rewards scheme, pension scheme after qualifying period and much more.

Main Purpose of the Job:
To investigate incidents reported within the Data Breach Policy, taking remedial action to ensure statutory obligations are met under the Data Protection Act. To support the information manager to deliver a full information and governance service to schools. To provide advice, guidance and support to all services for all elements of Information Governance, Data Protection, Records Management, Data Sharing Agreements.

Experience and Skills Required:
Comprehensive knowledge of Data Protection Act within the public sector, good understanding of Governance legislation and its application within the public sector. Good understanding of Access to Information legislation (DPA, FOI, EIR), understanding of change management principles and methodologies and service improvements. Significant experience of performing a similar role in the public sector, managing compliance of Data Protection Act specifically dealing with Data Breaches. Excellent written and interpersonal skills and proven experience of management and team building.
