Senior Credit Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

- To oversee and join in the assessment of credit risks, and the management of the Credit Assessment section of the Department, in particular, and to generally assist in order to ensure the smooth running of the Credit Services Department.
- Ensure daily workloads of credit administrators are actioned and met.
- Regularly assess the credit worthiness of new and existing clients.
- Visit customers as and when required.
- Prepare and assess files for limits over £50k and present them to the executive to sign off.
- Review files generally and deal with sales and other requests for trade over situations. (Any reference to sign off limits shall be in accordance with the sign off arrangements with the directors from time to time).
- Liaise with outside parties, discussing and resolving problem cases.
- Liaise with the CEO with frequent reviews of the Credit Assessment Section, to improve, update procedures and assist in implementing new systems.
- Attend internal/external meetings as and when required.
- Liaise daily with the CEO with a current synopsis of workloads and areas of risk.
- Undertake legal work and provide guidance as required.
- Compliance checks on new accounts and credit reviews.
- Monitor and update credit assessment databases – customer contact details/financial records.
- Ensure that procedures relating to the operation of the Company’s Credit Services Policy are properly carried out as per ISO.
- Ensure that procedures relating to the release of products are properly carried out by liaising with Sales Departments taking due accounts of the credit limit on any given account as per ISO.
- Ensure that procedures relating to cash collection and customer queries are carried out by Credit Controllers as per ISO.
- Set and monitor operational targets.
- Review customer files regularly and deal with sales and other requests for trade over situations. (Any reference to sign off limits shall be in accordance with the sign off arrangements with the Directors from time to time).
- Risk assessment of new and existing accounts.
- Ensure departmental cash collection is achieved each month.
- Liaise with outside parties, discussing and resolving problem cases, dealing with solicitors regarding legal cases.
- Staff management of both Credit Assessment and Credit Control staff, including
performance reviews and recruitment.
- Ensure regular reviews of the Credit Controllers ledgers are performed.
-Ensure daily workloads are actioned and met.
- Regularly review internal procedures to update and improve effectiveness of the
Department.
- Attend meetings within the company or at customer’s premises where necessary.
-Assist the Sales Ledger Supervisor in preparing reports for management.
- Attend internal/external meetings as and when required.
- Assist in other areas of the department where necessary.
- Any other duties that may from time to time be required by the Management for the
benefit and/or needs of the business.
