Senior Cost Reporting and Control Analyst

For our client, an international insurance company and its office in Prague, we are currently looking for a suitable candidate for a position of the Senior Cost Reporting and Control Analyst. If you have an experience from a similar position in the financial sector and you would like to develop yourself in a stable company, this might be the right opportunity for you.

Main responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate and reliable expense reporting and business explanation in expense area
• Preparation of annual budget and UFC on regular basis, cooperation with cost center owners on planning and forecasting process for expenses, collection and processing of required information
• Monthly preparation of the actual OPEX reporting and actual versus budget/UFC comparison including analysis of deviations, control of budget utilization by individual cost center owners, search for cost savings opportunities, propose initiatives for cost reduction
• Monthly preparation of OPEX accruals in close cooperation with cost center owners, communication with accounting dpt. and external auditors regarding accrual process and data; Calculation of cost allocation keys and amounts for intercompany SLA invoicing
• Analyses on expenses and provide information for decision making; Cost benefit analysis and monitor the benefits from projects/product development; Involvement in projects and product development as subject matter expert
• Team support - coordination/supervision of junior positions in the team
• Develop and maintain relevant process documentation, working procedure and templates
• Process improvement - Continuously search for improvements of reports content, production and analysis in order to increase quality and efficiency of reporting process

You should match these criteria:
• University degree
• Intermediate level of English
• Previous experience in a similar position, financial industry/audit is a plus
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Advanced communication skills, attention to details
• Advanced knowledge of Excel is a must, Access and Macros is a plus
