A local nursery is looking for a Senior Admin / Finance Officer to join their team. The ideal person will have admin and finance experience and previously worked in a nursery.

1. Organisation
• Deal with complex reception/visitor/stakeholder matters
• Take a lead role in the planning, development and organisation of the website and IT services systems/procedures/policies
• Train and develop administrative staff as appropriate
• Liaise between Head Teacher / Senior Leaders/Teaching and Support Staff / Governing Body

2. Administration
• Manage manual and computerised record/information systems
• Provide analysis and evaluation of data/information and produce reports/information/data as required
• Undertake typing and word-processing and complex IT-based tasks
• Provide personal, administrative and organisational support to the Head Teacher, other staff and the Governing Body
• Produce, and respond to, complex correspondence and procedures
• Be responsible for the completion and submission of complex forms, returns etc., including those to outside agencies, e.g. DfE
• Undertake the administration of Payroll systems

3. Resources
• Operate relevant equipment/complex ICT packages
• Monitor and manage stock within an agreed budget, cataloguing resources and undertaking audits as required
• Provide advice and guidance to staff, governors, families, partners and others
• Undertake research and obtain information to inform decisions
• Assist with procurement and sponsorship
• Assist with marketing and promotion of the school
• Manage administration of facilities including use of school premises, service contracts, school licences and insurance
• Undertake a range of financial administration procedures
• Take a role in planning, monitoring and evaluating budgets
• Be responsible for the management of expenditure within an agreed budget

4. Responsibilities
• Comply with and support the implementation of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
• Be aware of and support difference and ensure equal opportunities for all
• Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school
• Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals
• Attend and participate in regular meetings
• Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
• Recognise own strengths and areas of expertise and use these to advise and support others
