Due to re-locating part of the finance function to Bromley in South East London, a new Opportunity has arisen within a £100 Million T/O Construction business that has been in business over 40 years.

With many accreditations and awards under the belt, they are involved in several multi million pound projects across the UK in key city locations.

This role is for a Senior Accountant to join them in a role that is 60% Management Accounts, 40% Financial.

**Please note, the first 8 weeks would involve 2-3 days a week in Stockport for handover and transitional reason, all expensed, after that, full time in Bromley**

Key responsibilities

• Production of monthly Management Accounts in conjunction with Management Accountant
• Posting of accruals and prepayments
• Responsibility for ensuring reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts as part of the month end process
• Preparation of annual budget and half year reforecast in conjunction with Managing Director of the business and Depot heads
• Explain variances between actual and Budget
• Cashflow forecasts / Cash targets
• Oversee Weekly supplier and subcontractor payment run
• Ensure that debts are paid on time
• Various management reports to Holding in France on a monthly basis
• Completion of financial reporting to Group on a bi-annual basis
• Involved in Coordinating Stock Take for 6 depots twice a year
• Ensure all intercompany recharges are dealt with in a timely manner and balances reconciled
• Assist with Connect IT administration and system development
• VAT/CIS/CITB returns
• Responding to ad-hoc requests for information as required, ensuring that all reported financial information is of the highest standard
• Coordinate the provision of information for to external auditors for annual audit
• Coordinate the provision of information with regards to Corporation tax queries from Tax advisors
• Provide Financial analysis as required
• System development
• Supporting the Group FC in any other ad hoc projects & report requests





Key essential skills required

• Qualified accountant – 2 – 3 years post qualified
• Management of small team of 2
• Experience of multi depot and stock holding environment
• Excellent communication skills – written and oral
• Use of Microsoft Office including strong excel skills sumif, vlookup and pivot tables essential

Construction Industry/Scaffolding/Plant Hire experience is an advantage but not essential
