My client is looking for you- A 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil with challenging behaviour.
Reed Education are currently working with a client school based in Sandwell who are seeking a dedicated, experienced and confident Teaching Assistant to provide sufficient 1:1 support to a pupil with challenging behaviour.
The pupil is on the Autistic Spectrum and behaviour on a daily basis can be particularly challenging. The school are looking for an individual who can work as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, providing support to them with activities tailored towards their requirements in order to enhance the progression of the pupil. As behaviour can be particularly challenging, you will be an individual who has experience supporting pupils with Autism, can understand behavioural management strategies and has a calming and nurturing nature. The individual has a Full EHCP and require a Teaching Assistant who can stimulate his activity within the classroom.

This school is a two-form entry primary school with a nursery attached and currently has 505 pupils on roll. They are a “Good” school based in Sandwell. Over the previous 3 years, the school have had a large refurbishment, implementing state of the art facilities to enable opportunities for pupils to develop socially and academically. They are currently in the transition of building an SEN unit within the school to cater for pupils with special educational needs to ensure they are receiving the dedicated support required. You will be joining a school with an outstanding support structure and will be provided with opportunities to progress within your career.
