Job Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: Preston Area

I am currently working with a school on an exciting new role in the Preston area. Starting in January the School are offering an opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join them on a long term basis.

The School:
The School are offering an outstanding Teaching Assistant the opportunity to join the team in a ‘Good’ (Ofsted, 2019) Special Needs Primary School. Based in the Preston area, the school prides itself on being a warm and welcoming place where students, staff and parents feel at ease. The school has the capacity to meet a wide range of special educational needs. The team is made up of passionate and highly motivated individuals who collaborate to meet the needs of each individual pupil.

The Role:
The role is based in a Key Stage 4 class and involves full class support. It will be a full time position until at least February half term. The class has a range of needs including PMLD, VI and varying sensory needs. The role requires someone who is comfortable and has experience with personal care. This role is for you if you have experience and have a passion for working with children and young adults with special educational needs.

What you will need:

Essential Qualifications:
• Level 2 teaching Assistant Qualification (Or higher)

Desirable Qualifications:
• Moving and Handling Qualification

Desirable Experience:
• Experience or passion to work within SEN
• Experience working with children and young adults with PMLD
• Experience working with children and young adults with VI
